The Oregon Department of Education\u2019s Student Educational Equity Development (SEED) Survey is a statewide survey given to students in grades 3\u201311. The survey is designed to help schools and the state better understand students\u2019 experiences at school, including topics such as belonging, access to learning resources, school climate, and student well-being. Responses are confidential and are used to help improve educational programs and supports for students across Oregon. <\/pee> Parents and guardians have the right to opt their student out of participating in the SEED Survey. If a parent does not want their student to participate, they may complete and return the attached participation form to the school, or they may contact the school directly to decline participation verbally.
