LOCATION: Reedsport School District is located in a small town along the Oregon Coast. Our district consists of one elementary school serving K-6th grade and a community charter school serving 7th-12th grade. GENERAL INFORMATION: Salary/Pay Rate: $17.74 – $22.83 (depending on experience) Days/Hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday thru Friday), 260 days per year JOB SUMMARY Employees in this classification provide routine custodial and maintenance work as assigned. Open and frequent communication with maintenance/custodian supervisor, building administrator and building staff is essential.
DUTIES: This not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. • Vacuums and shampoos rugs and carpets in school building, offices and rooms. • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes. • Cleans and dusts walls, furniture, woodwork, lockers and other surfaces. • Picks up papers and other refuse on grounds and sweeps walks and entrances. • Washes, scrubs and disinfects rest rooms and shower rooms. • Cleans windows, door glass and drinking fountains. • Cleans and polishes metal work such as door panels and handrails. • Empties and cleans waste containers. • Assists in moving or rearranging chairs, tables, desks, furniture and other equipment. • Assists in the maintenance of boiler, heating and ventilation systems. • Maintains equipment, supply and storage room in a neat, orderly manner. • Performs special custodial work upon the request of staff members.
